Tips for recording the best video proof

Here are some tips of what to keep in mind when shooting your video

So you are the target of a Cajole, and you've accepted the challenge. Now you need to record yourself going through with it. Here are some pointers to keep in mind while to record your epic moment:

  • Choose either Landscape (horizontal) or Portrait (vertical) and stick with that. Try not to do both. Cajole's preference is always Landscape!

  • More is better than less. We edit these videos to present to backers of the campaign, so please give us as much as you can to work with!

  • If applicable, try and get reactions from those around you. People want to see not just what you're doing, but how other people may be experiencing it.

  • Bring a friend to film for you if you can. You should be focussed on the task at hand!

  • Try to keep the sun or light behind the camera. Shooting into a light source makes it hard to see what you're trying to record.

  • Avoid noisy environments when possible. We want to clearly hear what might be happening. If you have an external microphone, go ahead and try to use it.
