Once you've clicked Submit, your campaign is locked while our moderation team reviews it. Make sure you're ready before submitting — you can't keep editing during the review window itself. Most reviews come back within 24 hours.
If your campaign needs adjustments
If we return your campaign with feedback (rather than approving it outright), you'll get a chance to edit and resubmit. Read our notes, make the requested changes, and click Submit again. There's no limit on how many times you can iterate.
Once your campaign goes live
Most sections become editable post-launch, and most edits go live immediately:
Cover image, story, title, conditions, stretch goals, and leaderboard perks can all be edited from the campaign overview
For routine changes, your edit ships the moment you hit Save — Nigel checks each change against our policies and the promise you made to backers, and lets it through if everything looks fine
A small subset of changes (editing or removing existing stretch goals/perks/conditions once you have backers, story or title rewrites that change what backers signed up for, or anything that may conflict with our content policy) need admin approval first. You'll see a yellow banner explaining exactly what needs review and how to either submit it or revise to clear the bar.
A few things stay permanently locked once a campaign launches and can never change: the goal amount, the target, the end date, and the campaign type / category. To change any of those, the cleanest path is to create a fresh campaign.
Deleting a Cajole
You can delete your Cajole anytime up until it goes live. Once live, campaigns can't be deleted by creators directly — if you have a specific reason (a personal emergency, a policy issue), reach out to Support and we'll review.
Following the rules
All edits still need to follow Cajole's content policies. Backers can report anything that crosses the line, and our moderation team reviews every flag.
